Davos 2011: Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner on US economy

The American economy is taking centre stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos when growth figures for the last three months of 2010 are published out of the the US.

Despite stubborn unemployment at more than 9%, worries over a precarious housing market and a soaring budget deficit, GDP growth could be as much as 4%.

But the US still has stimulus measures in place and has yet to tackle its $1.5 trillion deficit.

The US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner spoke about his country's economic prospects.
