Jaguar Land Rover announces new UK contracts

Jaguar Land Rover has announced more than £2bn worth of supply contracts to more than 40 companies in the UK for its new Evoque model.

Around 1,500 new recruits are being taken on at the Halewood plant on Merseyside.

Professor David Bailey from Coventry University Business School says production has been 'ramped up' at the three plants in the UK and the market is buying into the 'Britishness' of the brand.
