US Budget row continues as Obama intervenes

President Barack Obama made a dramatic intervention in a budget row that could paralyse the US government, warning it would be "inexcusable" not to reach a deal before Friday's deadline.

On Tuesday, Congressional leaders and Mr Obama failed to reach a federal budget deal.

They will meet again on Wednesday.
