Germany wants to become electric car market leader
Germany wants to be the market leader in electric cars, and the cabinet is discussing financial support for the industry.
Under discussion will be tax breaks and other incentives worth $1.4bn (£870m).
The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, wants to see a million electric cars on the nation's roads by 2020.
