PPI: consumers warned over firms charging fees to lodge claims
If you were talked into buying payment protection insurance, PPI, when you didn't need it or couldn't claim it, you can get your money back.
The banks have put billions of pounds aside to cover the bill and to get your money back, you only have to go back to your bank and ask for it.
You don't need to use companies that offer to handle your claim. But that hasn't stopped them trying to get a slice of the action.
