Peston: We are in for an 'anxious time' over markets

Stock markets across the world have fallen sharply again amid fears about the global economic recovery and concerns that the debt crisis affecting the eurozone could spread.

The UK's benchmark FTSE 100 index and Germany's Dax index were both down about 2% by lunchtime.

The BBC's Robert Peston says that the crisis was almost inevitable because of the difference of opinion between investors and politicians.
