BoE lowers growth forecast amid further economic woes

There have been further gloomy predictions about the future of Britain's economy.

The Bank of England has lowered its forecast for growth and the bank's governor, Sir Mervyn King, said inflation could rise to 5% by the end of the year.

He also added that the biggest threats to growth came from outside the UK.
