Eurobonds considered amid euro crisis

The French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel meet in Paris later today to discuss how to make the eurozone work more effectively.

Germany has dismissed speculation that they will be discussing a eurobond, which would involve joining the debts of the 17 eurozone members, but the idea is gaining ground and is unlikely to go away.

It has support from Italy, Greece, Belgium and Luxembourg.

The BBC's Joe Lynam examines what is involved.
