Blackberry maker pins hopes on phones amid poor results

Research In Motion, the maker of the Blackberry hand-held device, is to release its quarterly results after the US stock market closes today.

The results are expected to reflect a tough few quarters for the company who also missed profit forecasts earlier this year and cut thousands of jobs.

Investors hope the company's new smart phones will help it rebound.

Jill Martin reports, from New York.
