Michael Woodford 'encouraged' by Olympus progress

The former chief executive of Olympus, Michael Woodford has said that he feels "encouraged" by a meeting with Japanese authorities, as they continue their investigation into the alleged cover-up of massive investment losses at the company

Mr Woodford met with Olympus company board members on Friday for the first time since he was fired as chief executive last month for questioning dubious accounting at Olympus.
