Jaguar Land Rover searching for Chinese partner
There are rumours swirling around the Geneva Motor Show that Jaguar Land Rover is looking for a Chinese partner.
The company is owned by India's Tata Motors.
There are reports of a possible $2.7bn tie-up with one of China's largest car firms, Chery Automobile.
A deal would be part of Jaguar Land Rover's latest effort to expand its appeal in China where luxury sedans and SUVs remain in demand even as the overall car market cools.
Dr Ralf Speth, chief executive of Jaguar Land Rover told the BBC "China is the most important market in the world".
