Business Bites: Is Germany's economy running out of steam?

A highly respected survey of 7,000 executives says business confidence in Germany rose again in March, but only slightly.

The Ifo business climate index edged higher to 109.8 in March, up from 109.6 in February.

But there are worries that Europe's biggest economy is beginning to lose some of its steam due to rising oil prices, austerity measures across the region and a slowdown in the Chinese economy.

Meanwhile, the number of Chinese firms and households, unable to pay their loans, has risen sharply according to China Construction Bank.
