Retailers expect economic boost from Jubilee weekend

Retail experts are predicting the long bank holiday weekend will bring a significant boost to sales, as people celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Huge amounts of merchandise have been sold including millions of Union Jacks and many miles of bunting, with the weekend expected to make £509m for retailers.

The BBC's Penny Haslam speaks to Adrian Ellis, the managing director of one of the UK's biggest importers and distributors of party goods, and branding expert Mary-Ellen Field, about why this year's celebrations are bringing such a boost to shops.
