George Osborne on Co-op and Lloyds deal

The Chancellor, George Osborne, has welcomed the sale by Lloyds of more than 600 of its branches to the Co-operative Group.

Mr Osborne said the deal would help create a new banking system for Britain that gave real choice to customers.
