Osborne on 'disappointing' GDP figures
The Chancellor, George Osborne, has described the latest GDP figures as "disappointing".
The UK economy shrank by 0.7% in months between April and June.
The figures suggest that Britain is suffering its deepest double-dip recession since records began more than 50 years ago.
Although the bad weather and the Jubilee bank holiday have been partly blamed for the poor figures, Mr Osborne said there were wider difficulties for the economy.
