Indian state of Goa plans iron ore export cap
India is the third-largest exporter of iron ore in the world. But the sector has been rocked by allegations of widespread illegal mining.
Even official government figures show there were 80,000 violations of mining sector rules during 2010.
A ban on iron ore mining was imposed in the southern state of Karnataka last year, while in Goa many licences were cancelled.
Now Goa's state government plans to introduce tighter regulations, including a cap on iron ore exports.
The BBC's Yogita Limaye has been taking a look at the implications.
