Afghanistan's mobile phone sector boosts the economy

After years of war Afghanistan is struggling to rebuild its economy, but if the telecom industry is already the envy of other countries in the region.

Nearly 60% of the population has a mobile phone connection. Afghanistan even boasts high-speed 3G connections.

However, there are security concerns as international forces plan to leave the country by the end of 2014.
