Ofgem on Cameron's plan for lower energy bills
The energy watchdog Ofgem has given more details about proposals to make suppliers tell customers about the cheapest gas and electricity deals they have on offer.
The scheme could be introduced by next winter and would include a measure forcing firms to show their cheapest tariff on bills.
It comes after David Cameron announced in the Commons that energy firms will be forced to give all customers the lowest tariff.
Giving evidence to the Commons Energy Committee, Andrew Wright from Ofgem said the firm hadn't yet seen Mr Cameron's proposals, but hoped they would "align with our proposals".
