Remploy closures: Hundreds of jobs at risk

At the start of 2012, there were 54 Remploy factories across the UK, but within a few months only five could remain.

Remploy, which employs disabled people across the country, had its funding withdrawn by the UK government earlier this year.

The government says there are more effective ways of using the budget for disabled employment services, but many who worked at the factories say they have no other options for work.
