Exports 'key' to Nissan's UK success
Exports have helped drive UK car production to a four-year-high, despite a slump in demand in Europe.
Nissan's Sunderland plant became the first factory in the UK to produce more than 500,000 cars in one year in 2012, with 80% of their vehicles destined for sale abroad.
Nissan's vice president for manufacturing in the UK, Kevin Fitzpatrick, told the BBC that their success was based on their strong products and a large market share.
