Housing market 'starting to pick-up' - Nationwide

UK house prices increased by 0.5% in January, with the average price of a home now £162,000 according to the Nationwide.

Chief economist Robert Gardner told BBC News that the market was still subdued, but there were "tentative signs that things were gradually picking-up"
