Andrew Tyrie on HBOS: 'A colossal failure of leadership'
Financial regulators should consider banning three top HBOS bankers from future roles in the financial sector, an influential committee has said.
The Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards said former bosses Sir James Crosby, Andy Hornby and Lord Stevenson were largely to blame for the bank's collapse.
Andrew Tyrie who heads the commission told the BBC there had been "a colossal failure of leadership" at HBOS.
He said the bank was "fundamentally unsound... [because of] decisions by the most senior management".
