Google chief defends UK corporation tax of £6m

Google's Executive Chairman, Eric Schmidt, has defended the company paying just £6m in corporation tax.

A committee of MPs has described multinational companies - including Google - which pay little tax on their earnings in Britain, as "immoral".

In an interview with Radio 4's World at One, Mr Schmidt said Google "fully complies with the law".

And he said the criticism about tax did not consider his company's contribution to British business.
