Sir Alex Ferguson 'expert manager and player'
Sir Alex Ferguson will step down as Manchester United manager at the end of the season after 26 years in charge.
The Scot, 71, has won 38 trophies during his reign at Old Trafford and will now become a director and ambassador for the club.
Amanda Goodall, senior lecturer in management at Cass Business school, told the BBC that he succeeded because of his background as a footballer, "You really need to understand the core business, and Ferguson is an example of being an expert in his management skills".
