Swiss bank secrecy under pressure from EU

EU leaders have gathered in Brussels for a summit where talks are set to be dominated by how to tackle tax evasion.

Tax evasion costs EU states 1tn euros ($1.3tn; £0.85tn) a year, partly to tax havens, including non-EU-member Switzerland.

And pressure is mounting on the country to abandon its long tradition of banking secrecy.
