Ed Miliband tells Google it must 'do the right thing' over tax
Labour leader Ed Miliband has said there needs to be transparency between countries so it is clear "how much tax is being paid and how much profit is being made" by multinational firms.
He also called for reforms to "the crazy rules.. that allow companies to shift profits from one jurisdiction to another".
His comments came as EU leaders met in Brussels to discuss the issue of aggressive tax avoidance by companies such as Google, Amazon and Apple.
Mr Miliband also suggested that companies should do more than just adhere to the letter of the law and had a responsibility to "do the right thing".
