Air India eyes Dreamliners for revival
India's national carrier, Air India, has not made a profit since 2007.
It has been struggling with huge debts and labour unrest. But the airline is attempting a turnaround by introducing a new fleet of Boeing's 787 aircraft.
The planes are more fuel efficient and help bring down operational costs. However, battery problems in some planes had resulted in the grounding of the entire 787 fleet across the globe.
But the planes have since been cleared to fly again.
Shilpa Kannan was on board the first international flight for Air India's Dreamliner planes since the grounding.
