Energy supplier EDF calls for single-unit pricing
One of Britain's biggest energy suppliers is calling for single-unit pricing for gas and electricity, to make it easier for consumers to compare tariffs.
EDF Energy says it will introduce the system if all other suppliers also commit to the idea.
It would mean customers would only have one price to compare between different suppliers, but the energy regulator Ofgem says the plan is not as simple as it sounds.
