Ocado boss: Morrisons business totally separate
Online grocer Ocado reported a widening of losses on Tuesday despite seeing an increase in sales.
The firm posted a loss of £3.8m for the 24 weeks to 19 May.
Ocado recently signed a 25-year, £170m deal to allow Morrisons to use their delivery infrastructure.
Speaking to the Today programme, the Ocado's chief executive Tim Steiner defended the decision to team up with Morrisons.
He said: "From a customer perspective there will be no confusion at all.
"The consumer will have no idea that Ocado is behind any of the logistics or intellectual property that drives Morrisons. For the moment, Morrisons will be a totally separate business."
First broadcast on the Today programme on Tuesday 2 July.
