Philippines: economic growth and challenges

The Philippines has become one of Asia's fastest growing economies, growing at a faster pace than China.

Much of the nation's growth is being led by consumption, as the growing middle class shop for cars, clothes and entertainment.

But many problems remain for the economy, not least a high unemployment rate.
