Quick sale customers 'need to know options'

The OFT is investigating three companies providing quick house sale services, looking at allegations of unfair practices including cutting offer prices by as much as 53% of the home's market value.

OFT director Gaucho Rasmussen told the BBC the investigation into the unnamed companies was at a "very early stage".

He said people considering selling their homes in such a way "need to know what the alternatives are", and it was important that they find out "what the process looks like."
