Thailand is looking to build new metro and high-speed railway lines to connect up the country's burgeoning urban population.
The government is planning to spend an unprecedented $60bn on improving the transport infrastructure.
But it has raised concerns about where, in the rush, all the money might end up. The BBC's Jonathan Head reports.
