Illegal immigrants in Morocco allege abuse by police

Immigration is a live and contentious issue right across the European Union. Part of the EU's approach has been to pay others to keep those seeking a better life out. Morocco, for example, has been given 1.6bn euros under something called the European Neighbourhood Policy.

But there are growing reports that would-be migrants who end up there hoping to reach Europe are treated in a way that would not be tolerated anywhere within the EU.
