Sainsbury's CEO: 'We're seeing a different shopping behaviour'

Sainsbury's has reported a rise in quarterly sales, driven by a growth at its local convenience stores and online business.

Its trading update reveals like-for-like sales - excluding fuel - in the quarter to 28 September, rose 2%.

Meanwhile, rival Tesco has reported a 23.5% drop in profits during the first half of its financial year.

Chief executive Justin King said: "We're seeing a very different shopping behaviour than we saw five years ago."
