Taiwan trade services deal with China faces opposition

In Taiwan, a trade agreement signed with China earlier this year has been stalled in the Taiwanese parliament.

The agreement would open up more of the island's services sector to Chinese investment in exchange for access to the Mainland market.

However, opposition Taiwanese lawmakers are blocking passage of the deal, saying it will hurt small businesses.
