What is the economic feeling in north east England?

As the latest GDP figures are unveiled, James Ramsbotham from the North East Chambers of Commerce describes the economic picture in his region.

He told the BBC confidence in sales was translating into investment into new premises and staff.

But, he said, it was a "two-speed economy. You've got the really good engineering businesses.. [but] the retail sector is on its knees".
