Staying in EU 'best for UK business' - CBI

Remaining within the European Union is "overwhelmingly" best for UK businesses - but reforms are needed, according to the CBI.

Ahead of its national conference, the business lobby group said research suggested EU membership is worth £62-78bn to the UK, and that 80% of members would vote to stay in if a vote was held.

It also called for barriers to e-commerce to be removed by the EU and for a permanent opt-out from the Working Time Directive.
