JD Sports hails 'strong' Christmas

Sales at JD sports were "marginally ahead" of the 5.8% growth it expected, the company has said.

Executive Chairman Peter Cowgill said it was on track to make its full-year profit forecasts.

"We've had a very strong footfall and conversation rate in the stores," he added.
