Spotify up against Dr Dre Beats Music

Music-streaming service Spotify says that it is now allowing merchandise sales through its player, as it prepares for the arrival of a major new rival Dr Dre's Beats Music service.

Speaking to the BBC, former vice president at Spotify, Faisal Galaria, said that different services and different prices for services are needed to capture the mass market.
