Asian artists are painting their works on a global canvas

Record-breaking prices for art from China in recent years have seen a huge rise in interest in contemporary art pieces from across Asia.

Singapore's inaugural Prudential Eye Awards took place earlier this month and Nigel Hurst, head of London's prestigious Saatchi Gallery, was one of the judges there.

The BBC's Sharanjit Leyl caught up with him to ask what was prompting the interest in art from all over Asia and whether it made a good investment?
