Leaders gather for Davos meeting

Business and global political leaders are gathering in the Swiss ski resort of Davos for the annual World Economic Forum.

This year's theme year is "The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business".

Around 2,500 business leaders and policymakers will be in Davos, representing more than a thousand organisations and 100 nationalities - on top of that will be thousands of journalists hoping to gleam the secrets of the world's most influential minds.

The Japanese prime minister, Shinzo Abe, will give one of the first addresses on the opening day later on Wednesday.

Our chief business correspondent, Linda Yueh, is in Davos.
