Australian firm prepares to open Devon tungsten mine

An Australian company is preparing to open the world's second biggest tungsten mine - in Devon.

The site, at Hemerdon near Plymouth, will be the first new metals mine in the UK for more than 40 years.

Wolf Minerals claim the move will create 200 direct and 100 indirect jobs.

The company's managing Director Russell Clark told BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money: "The support we've had in the local area has been phenomenal."
