Lloyds pledges to give women more top jobs
Lloyds Banking Group has pledged to fill 40% of its top 5,000 jobs with women by 2020.
The target means 600 women will be recruited into senior posts.
Fiona Cannon, director for diversity and inclusion at Lloyds Banking Group, insisted the move would not result in positive discrimination.
Speaking with BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money, she said: "We're looking to create a meritocracy organisation that's good for everyone, not just for women."
