Taj Mahal brought online by Google Street View

Millions of people go to India's most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal, every year.

But for those who are unable to go, there is now an effort to recreate the experience online.

The Indian ministry of culture is teaming up with Google to bring the Taj and 99 other heritage sites to Street View.

But the technology has a controversial history in India.

Shilpa Kannan got an exclusive preview of the project at Agra in northern India.
