Campaigners hope Co-op boss will stay but refuse bonus
Co-op Group chief executive Euan Sutherland should "hang on in there" after offering his resignation, according to the co-founder of a campaign to keep the Co-operative Bank ethical.
Mr Sutherland tendered his resignation and said the business was "ungovernable", after details of his pay were leaked to the media.
Rob Harrison from the Save Our Bank campaign told BBC News he hoped Mr Sutherland would stay but not take the bonus: "Euan was a good appointment from an ethical point of view... [but] he's just had a terrible time".
