Music and video outlets 'on the rise'

The number of outlets selling music and videos rose in 2013, the Entertainment Retailers Association has said.

The group's director general Kim Bayley told the Today programme "local convenience stores" are increasingly looking to stock entertainment products, while the number of independent stores offering vinyl products has also grown.

Ms Bayley said the music industry has been through a "total transformation" to respond to the digital landscape.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday, 12 March.
