ZTE boss Shi Lirong: Innovation is key to success

China's ZTE is not as well-known as Apple or Samsung, but it is one of the world's largest telecom companies.

And while Silicon Valley regards itself as the global home of innovation, the Chinese mobile maker has, in recent years, filed more patents than any other firm.

ZTE chief executive Shi Lirong told BBC chief business correspondent Linda Yueh that China holds its own when it comes to bright ideas.
