Sony struggles to revive electronic sales

Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony used to be one of the country's top-selling brands.

But the company has been struggling to stay afloat in recent years due to tough competition from Asian rivals such as South Korea's Samsung Electronics.

Just how big a challenge the company is facing will become clear when it announces its full-year earnings later today.
