Food price fall has many causes, says senior ASDA figure

The price of food and drink has fallen to its lowest level in almost a decade.

Official figures show overall food prices fell 0.6% per cent in the past year.

Barry Williams, Food Trading Director at ASDA, said there were lots of factors influencing the price of goods.

He told BBC Radio 5 live's Adam Parsons these factors ranged from weather conditions to prices customers want to pay.
