Peston: Financial crisis was 'bliss' for journalists
The UK economy has recovered the ground lost since the financial downturn began in 2008, growing 0.8% in the second quarter of 2014 according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
While this for many will be symbolic of better economic prosperity, the BBC's Robert Peston feels somewhat aggrieved.
He explained to the Today programme he had "the time of [his] journalistic life" during the banking crisis, experiencing "bliss" at uncovering a series of huge scandals in the sector.
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Friday 25 July.
